![]() Camera EditorĪllows you to edit the cameras properties ie. View: Dump CameraĬopys camera info to clipboard. map, Terrain Editor, or Community Offline Mode (COM). ExportĪllows you to export Map files in either init.c, VPP. Used for opening up your saved files ImportĪllows you to import Map files in either init.c, VPP. The saved files can be found inside your Profiles folder on your PC. The save option opens up a window for you to name and save your file. (Note this has been moved as of DayZ 1.13) Save File: All file locations are inside Documents\DayZ\Editor\ folder. The Cut, Copy and Paste tools can adhere to the Grounding mode. Cut(Ctrl X), Copy(Ctrl C) and Paste(Ctrl V) tools. Select all objects you want to Cut, Copy or Paste. Undo and RedoĬlick the Undo(Ctrl Z) or Redo(Ctrl Y) buttons on the upper toolbar. Then hold shift key and move mouse left and right. You can manually type the desired property aswell. Holding shift or alt while scrolling will increase or decrease the step distances. When editing properties, you can use scroll wheel to change properties in steps. The properties tab allows you to edit Translation, Rotation on all axis, and Scale. To open the properties menu right click the chosen object to edit the object properties, Ctrl T, or double click the purple selection square for that object. Multi Spawningīy holding down Left Shift while spawning items will create multiples of that item. It is also useful for placing items onto furniture like tables and chairs etc. This is good for ensuring objects such as buildings etc do not clip into each other. Toggeling Collision Mode(CTRL 4) enables collision between objects in the editor. While Ground Mode is on you can move objects without worrying about its height changing relative to the terrains height. Toggeling Ground Mode (CTRL 2) enables you to keep the objects position above the terrain using an offset. With Magnet Mode on objects will automatically rotate its X and Z axis to lay flat on the terrain. ![]() When normally placing objects they will be level no matter what surface they're being placed on. Pressing L will lock any selected object(s) temporarily. Pro Tip - Objects placed can be locked to keep from bumping or accidently deleting. The right side of the screen displays items and objects that you have already placed. It will then display anything with that word in the name that is available. ![]() the Searchbar in the top left to filter the shown objects ie cans, pipes, walls, rocks, land. ![]() The left side of the UI is the area that displays all the items and objects available in DayZ along with other modded items that are buildable ie. To spawn your character to your new location press T while looking at the ground, or inside the map view Pressing esc will take you back to the map editor mode. Move the map to where you want to go and press middle mouse button to teleport your camera to that spot on the map. You can fly anywhere on the map, by pressing wsad, or you can press M for map view. If you press ( home ) you will swap to your character, home again will swap to the camera. The editor will spawn you in with your character, There will be an Overwhelming UI, but do not worry. In the list of mods it will allow you to make edits on any other map you have. Start by selecting a Map, by Default Cheranrus. WARNING - DayZ Editor is to be ran offline, not on your server. Ignoring this mod will streamline your process. Placing objects from this mod will not work for you because the mod is not available on consoles. DayZ Editor can be used to make Object Spawner.
